PRACTICE WITH PAST PARTICIPLE VERBS

If you remember your list of verbs, the third column always showed the past participles.

We use this form of the verbs with the PASSIVE VOICE, the THIRD CONDITIONAL, and the PERFECT TENSES. They can also be used as ADJECTIVES.

CONNECTIVES TO EXPRESS CONTRAST AND SURPRISE

ALTHOUGH, EVEN THOUGH, IN SPITE OF, and DESPITE are all used to link two contrasting ideas or show that one fact makes the other fact surprising. HOWEVER means ‘but’.
