HOPE AND WISH
In English we use two verbs that express a desire, but one refers to situations that are possible to happen in the present or future, while the other one refers to things that can't change, mostly about the past:
๐ Hope: To express something is very possible to happen.
๐ Wish: To express something is impossible (not likely) to happen. (Never use present simple tense for the clause after "wish" ).
๐๐ป She HOPES she CAN FIND a new house before the end of the year. (It's still possible for this to happen).
๐๐ป He WISHES he HAD TOLD his wife the truth. (It's too late to change something about the past).
Now let's practice!
